Fixing method for our precast fibrous plaster cornices

     Mark ceiling projection and strike chalk line

     Fix temporary guide screws

   Apply coat of diluted PVA adhesive scratch painted surfaces

    Cut mitres and cornice to length trial fit

 

     Apply coat of diluted PVA adhesive to cornice wall and ceiling lines

 

      Mixing fast set joint adhesive (British Gypsum "easifill"

    Butter both ceiling and wall beds on the cornice with the adhesive

      Fit cornice against temporary ceiling screw line apply pressure to bed in place

     Fix cornice with countersunk drywall screws at app. 600mm centres ceiling and wall

   Work round room fitting cornice cut to length 

    Finally fit last mitre short length

     Point cornice ceiling, wall, joints and mitres

    Clean of excess adhesive

     Finish joints and mitres remembering to regularly wash cornice with clean water
