WORK IN THE LOFT AREA

After extensive cleaning of the top side
of the wood lath, areas of loose lime plaster rivets were identified and marked
up. These areas once propped from below were encased in a plaster back jacket.
CEILING SURFACE WORK

Holes were drilled and countersunk at 350mm centres over the
entire ceiling to take screws with washers, these were fixed into the existing
supporting branders and "scotch" bracketing. Wire was used to secure the floral
enrichments where screw fixings were unavailable.

The holes left by the fixings were made
good with gauged lime putty.
