This building built by the Argyle Car Company in 1904 was the largest car factory outside United States at that time.

Many changes in use - from munitions to torpedoes - now restored, after many years of neglect. to a shopping outlet.

The following pictures (buttons on the left) show the stages in restoration of the ornate dome plasterwork in the grand main staircase.
